During the School Year...

Students from local ISDs experience hands-on learning at Langetree DUCK FARM Eco Center while connecting classroom knowledge with real world experiences.

Eco-Connections

Woodshop students construct birdhouses at school, which are painted and mounted at the DUCK FARM.
English classes experience hands-on connections between natural experiences at the DUCK FARM and classroom experiences of selected readings, such as Henry David Thoreau's "Walden." Students also enjoy a coffee-house atmosphere at the DUCK FARM, where they discuss books they've been reading.
Biology students apply classroom knowledge with DUCK FARM experiences as they test the temperature and depth of the DUCK FARM's pond, and other wetland area testing such as grasses and swamps.
Children's Enrichment Programs for school-agers ranging from Scouts, day-care, public schools, home schools, and every group in between. Bring your group and enjoy a fully-developed eco-centered program including nature walks and storytelling. Contact us today to schedule your visit.
